Veea™ To Unveil Groundbreaking Products And Solutions That Span Smart Communities, Smart Retail, And Residential And Business Simplified Edge Communications, Computing And Security Products And Solutions

QUALCOMM SMART CITIES ACCELERATE EVENT SEPTEMBER 28 -29, 2021, IN SAN DIEGO

New York, New York — September 20, 2021 — Veea Inc., an innovation leader in integrated smart edge connectivity and computing, today announced it will be demonstrating breakthrough solutions at Qualcomm's signature global event, Smart Cities Accelerate 2021, in San Diego, September 28-29, 2021.

In concert with ecosystem partners, Veea will reveal and demonstrate for the first time in a public forum its revolutionary omnichannel Smart Retail platform with an Edge Intelligence (EI)-assisted smart shopping cart solution supported by a breakthrough edge advertising platform for micro-targeting that integrates a highly accurate indoor positioning system, bringing interactive social and immersive shopping experiences to the point of purchase in the physical world.

Veea will also conduct live demonstrations of its VeeaHub® platform solutions for Smart Spaces, including homes, businesses, hotels, nursing homes, hospital rooms, schools, and more. The platform solutions simplify the provisioning, installation, and ongoing maintenance of connected devices, including cameras, door locks, lighting and security systems, energy and air quality management, media-streaming devices, and similar devices to make it easy for system integrators and service providers to meet the needs of their residential and business customers. The platform is supported by a cloud-based full security stack for connectivity and cybersecurity on an end-to-end basis, including for IoT endpoints.

Veea's platform will be demonstrated in combination with our next generation Smart Computing Hub product, VeeaHub Stax, based on a single-board computer with a full range of LAN connectivity and a highly unique electrical and mechanical design supporting stackable modules such as 4G LTE CAT 16 (Gigabit LTE) and 5G (Sub-6 GHz), among others. VeeaHub Stax is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, measuring approximately 4" x 4" x 2", and offers enterprise-class Wi-Fi 6, IoT connectivity, and a Linux server that runs on a powerful 64-bit Quad-Core processor. This platform runs Veea's innovative VeeaWare™ distributed edge processing software platform.

VeeaHub's advanced mesh networking capability, vMeshcreates a micro-cloud at the device edge of the network, across a variety of indoor and outdoor models of VeeaHubs for wired and wireless devices on the local network, including IoT endpoints, throughout the coverage area. VeeaWare supports containerized apps that run in secure Docker containers instantiated on any VeeaHub node within the coverage area of vMesh to instantaneously provide for a "Computing Mesh," a microservice-based "Service Mesh," an "Application Mesh" and an "Edge Intelligence Mesh" over the "Connectivity Mesh." This brings data center capabilities to the "device edge" with built-in networking and orchestration capabilities to truly define a new product category at the Device Edge referred to as the Smart Computing Hub (SCH).

"After years of development in collaboration with Qualcomm and other world-class partners, we have chosen this global event to unveil these breakthrough products," said Allen Salmasi, CEO of Veea. "With hundreds of the most influential leaders in attendance at this prestigious event, we look forward to engaging with the individuals and companies who are making the greatest strides in transforming our hyper-connected world by enhancing the lives of millions of people, whether they are shopping in Smart Retail venues, or at home enjoying their connected Smart Homes."
