Sensors got cheap. Getting their readings somewhere useful did not. Cellular thins out past the last barn, satellite backhaul is priced by the byte, and a round-trip to a data center is a poor way to decide whether a valve should be open. The constraint was never sensing — it is everything between the sensor and the decision.
A VeeaHub is a small edge server with the radios already inside it. Sensors join it directly — no gateway per vendor, no trenching — and the logic that decides something runs on the hub, beside the crop it is deciding about. The uplink becomes a convenience instead of a dependency.
